Assistant Principal

Dear Alto Park families and community,

I am honored to be Assistant Principal of Alto Park Elementary School. Alto Park is a wonderful learning community where relationships are valued and education is our passion and priority. We realize that our students are tomorrow's leaders, and we strive to prepare them for that success.

I am a graduate of Rockmart High School. I earned an Associate's Degree from Floyd College (now Georgia Highlands) and Bachelor's, Master's, and Educational Specialist Degrees from Jacksonville State University. In addition, I obtained Tier I Certification in Educational Leadership from University of West Georgia. I have also completed a Reading Endorsement and Google Level 2 Educator Certification.

Floyd County Schools has been a part of my life for many years. Prior to joining the Alto Park family, I taught in the Pepperell district for over 20 years and then served the district as the Social Studies Specialist, before joining the staff of Shorter University as a professor in the School of Education. FCS has always held a special place in my heart, and I look forward to building champion learners with the exceptional teaching staff and wonderful families of Alto Park Elementary School.
